You are part of a group of young medical students working in a very deprived community. You have notice that most of the people in the community suffer from various circulatory and respiratory diseases such as lung cancer, stroke, high blood pressure and chronic bronchitis. These people do not understand what these diseases are all about. Your task is to describe the structure of the heart and the path of blood through the circulatory system including information about function of valves in the circulatory system and the diseases of the circulatory system. You should also discuss the functions of the respiratory system and any social and economic consequences of any circulatory and respiratory disease to these people. Your presentation should be in the form of power point slides or a video. You will be assessed against Criteria A and B and you need to demonstrate your ability to use appropriate communication modes and formats and discuss the effectiveness of science and its applications in solving the problem of circulatory and respiratory diseases.
